On behalf of South Carolina's largest family medicine residency program, our
capable group of residents, and dedicated faculty, let me welcome you to our
web site. By your presence here, you are obviously interested in the care of
the whole person within the context of Family Medicine.
Intern For A Day Program
We know that medical students have a limited amount of time to gather
information about the places they would like to train. With this
understanding, we developed the “Intern for a Day” program. The goals of
the visit are see – learn – know.
Does Your Spouse Need a Job?
We recognize the stress that the transition into residency has on a candidate's spouse and children.
In an effort to make that transition easier, Cathy Benson, the Director of Professional
Recruitment at Spartanburg Regional Hospital System is available to assist
the spouses of our incoming interns with finding a job either within the hospital system or out in
the community. Ask for more details during your interview or visit to our program.
The Spartanburg Center for Family Medicine
We're located on the fifth floor of the Regional Outpatient Center,
directly attached to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Spartanburg Regional Healthcare Systems (SRHS) Department
of Medical Education offers a variety of clinical clerkship
opportunities for third and fourth year medical students.
All courses provide interactive, first hand experience with
patient care. Students have the opportunity to work closely
with both residents and clinical faculty. read
